GUY ORENS - PARTNER/OFFICER

GUY ORENS, age 49, is Vice President of Orens Brothers Real Estate, Inc., and Orens Brothers, Inc. He has been active for the past twenty five years plus in real estate development, marketing, and management.

Guy's responsibilities include being senior financial officer for all business operations; overseeing and managing all monies and collections; checking the accuracy of all credit, bank and vendor accounts; and overseeing that all mortgage payments, taxes, insurance, accounts and other bills are paid on time. He is the primary liaison with accountants and lawyers, and is responsible for reviewing and maintaining all documents and records.

His dynamic approach enabled Orens Brothers to turn around distressed buildings after other management companies had failed. When Orens Brothers became an approved manager of P.H.F.A. properties, they were given a contract by P.H.F.A. to manage 44 units at the Trinity Place Apartments in Philadelphia.

Guy was quickly able to turn around this project with regard to vacancies and lost revenues in addition to being able to provide "in house" renovation service to a number of badly neglected apartments. Other management projects include Meridian Bank, Midlantic Bank, Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust, Integra Bank, National Bank of the Main Line, Resolution Trust Corporation, Standard Federal Bank. Continental Bank, Dechert Price & Rhodes, Greater New York Savings, Coopers & Lybrand, First Bank of Philadelphia, Liberty Bank, Shawmutt Bank, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation and numerous individual owners including Jay Lamont.

More recently, as Orens Brothers accomplishes their large condominium conversions, Guy then takes the roll of property manager for the resulting condominium associations that are formed from these projects. He currently manages the Pitcairn, a 63 unit condominium at 11th and Arch Streets and will be managing the 2200 Arch Street Lofts, a 160+ unit condominium in Logan Square.

Guy has taken a number of courses offered at Temple University Real Estate Institute and has a real estate brokers license. He also guests lectures at Temple. Today, he is primarily involved maintaining and expanding the real estate portfolio and developing new management contracts and currently manages over 800 units in University City and the greater Philadelphia area and is considered the largest 3rd party property manager in West Philadelphia.

Guy was born and raised in Upper Dublin, Pennsylvania and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1978. He married Joan Sugarman in 1988 and has a daughter, Ariel.
