Past development
projects have included a 52 unit, 2.4 million dollar renovation
of four apartment buildings on the 4400 block of Walnut Street;
a 15 unit rehabilitation using low to moderate income tax
credits received from the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency;
8 modular homes in various scattered sight locations throughout
Pennsylvania and New Jersey; the renovation of a barber school
in on the 5100 block of N. Broad Street; the renovation of
over 100 single family homes scattered sight throughout the
City for a lease/purchase program ; the renovation of 6 homes
in West Phila. on Walton Ave. and 11 homes in East Oak Lane
using monies made available through the Redevelopment Authority
of Philadelphia. After completing the supervision of The Old
Shoe Factory, a large 10-story, $12,000,000 63 unit condominium
conversion at 12th and Vine streets in Center City, and the
Pitcairn building, a larger $22,000,000 project at 11th and
Arch Sts across from the Convention Center, he is currently
overseeing the construction of 2200 Arch St, a 300,000 square
foot 160 unit, $60,000,000 project in Logan Square and 444
N. 4th Street, a similar size project near Old City. So impressive
have these projects been that several developers have requested
his assistance with other large projects of similar nature.
Scott
has participated on the Real Estate Development Committee
affiliated with the West Philadelphia Partnership, a city
operation aimed at directing and helping development in that
section of the city. He is a licensed real estate broker in
the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, is a Realtor affiliate of
the Greater Philadelphia Board of Realtors and has also taught
as a guest lecturer at Temple University Real Estate Institute.
He has been in the construction and development fields for
20 years and has both a master plumbing license and a master
electrician license in the City of Philadelphia as well as
a real estate broker's license in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Scott
was born and raised in Upper Dublin, Pennsylvania and graduated
from Muhlenberg College in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science
Degree. He married MaryBeth Montgomery in 1986 and has 3 children,
Briana, Tamara and Tyler.
